Fortin Pipelines was established in 2021 by principle JP Fortin, who has almost a quarter century of industry experience, including roles within client-side procurement and system construction. JP identifying an industry need for independent, unbiased engineering consultancy services that provided holistic, outcome-focused solutions from project development and implementation to asset operation and integrity.

Jean-Philippe (JP) Fortin is a specialist slurry pipeline engineer and subject matter expert with 23 years of complete project lifecycle experience. He has consulted on the design and implementation of over 20 long-distance slurry pipelines currently in commercial operation across 15 countries.
Jean-Philippe’s relevant field experience includes involvement in the commissioning and start-up of four major long distance slurry pipeline assets in Brazil, India, Peru and Australia. His practical, hands-on experience involves numerous premature pipeline failure assessments, operational audits, risk assessment, erosion and corrosion modelling and capacity expansion.
Jean-Philippe is focused on providing independent, proven, outcome-focused and unbiased consulting services from project development and implementation to asset operation and integrity.
