Fortin Lab Services (FLS) operates as an independent slurry and water testing facility, purpose-built to support the design, operation, and optimization of mineral transport systems. Established in 2024 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortin Pipelines, FLS combines laboratory precision with field-proven experience to deliver data that engineers can build on.

PREDICTIVE WEAR AND CORROSION MODELLING

Pipeline integrity is fundamentally dictated by how slurry interacts with materials over time. Fortin Lab Services provides advanced predictive wear and corrosion modelling to help operators understand, quantify, and extend the life of their critical pipeline assets.

Using controlled laboratory test loops, rheology data, material characterisation, and real-world operating inputs, we simulate erosion and corrosion mechanisms across a range of flow regimes, materials, and slurry characteristics. Our work goes beyond traditional rule-of-thumb estimates—delivering data-driven insight into wear rates, risk zones, and remaining useful life.
